Practice Overview
Practice Overview: Our midwifery-led practice handles over 1000+ births annually at Baystate Medical Center, a Level 3 Perinatal Center, which performs approximately 4,300 births per year. Our Baystate Midwifery Education Program, a prestigious ACME-accredited program with over 30 years of history, contributes significantly to the CNM workforce.
Ambulatory Care
Provide care across 7 outpatient sites, including neighborhood health centers, an FQHC, and a women’s correctional facility. Collaborative Environment: Enjoy strong collaboration with physicians in delivering culturally responsive, patient-centered care with a focus on health equity. Subspecialty support includes Maternal Fetal Medicine, Reproductive Endocrinology, Urogynecology, Gynecologic Oncology, Family Planning, Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, General Obstetrics and Gynecology. National Recognition: Baystate Midwifery and Women’s Health is nationally acclaimed for collaborative CNM-physician practice and the innovative role of CNMs as Laborists. Our CNMs also specialize in areas like ultrasound, circumcision, colposcopy, correctional health, pelvic pain, and sexual wellness.

Qualifications
- ACNM BE/BC Certified Nurse Midwife
- Strong interest in working with student learners and a commitment to collaboration, courage, quality, and lifelong learning are important
- Bilingual (Spanish) is helpful
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
- Candidates with an Active Massachusetts Midwifery license preferred
Pay Range
Compensation Range: $130,500-165,300. The compensation ranges in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience.
About the Role
Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system in western Massachusetts which consists of an academic medical center, three community hospitals and the region’s largest multispecialty group. Our flagship hospital, Baystate Medical Center, is home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate. We are seeking Certified Nurse Midwives to join our full scope midwifery team at Baystate Midwifery & Women’s Health in Springfield, MA.
