Full Professor of Psychology (Digital Health)

The Department of Psychology at the University of Rhode Island is seeking applications for a Full Professor position in the domain of digital health. The position is part of a cluster hiring strategy aimed at advancing innovative approaches to assessment, prevention, and intervention using digital health technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct impactful digital health research that applies cutting-edge methodologies or develops novel computational and quantitative approaches aligned with and complementary to departmental strengths.
• Teach quantitative methods and/or content courses that are essential to the undergraduate and graduate training.
• Incorporate justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI) principles into research, teaching, and service activities.
• Leverage digital health technologies to develop and evaluate data-driven healthcare solutions.

Required Qualifications and Preferred Qualifications

• A PhD (or equivalent) in psychology or a closely related field.
• A highly productive record of research that is recognized internationally for excellence and innovation, including a highly cited record of publications in major journals in their field.
• Demonstrated success in obtaining external funding that will support productive research in digital health technologies.
• Demonstrated commitment to JEDI through research, teaching, and/or service activities.
• Demonstrated ability in teaching and mentoring graduate and/or undergraduate students.
• Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups/populations.
• Preferred specialization in the application of cutting-edge methods or development of new computational and quantitative approaches in domains relevant to digital health.
• Demonstrated ability to teach quantitative methods and/or content courses that are critical to the undergraduate and graduate training.
