Full Motion Video (FMV) Analyst
About the role
Tactica is searching for motivated, dependable Full Motion Video Analysts to support time-sensitive intelligence missions in a high-tempo operational environment. In this role, you will analyze and exploit FMV collected by ISR platforms, integrate intelligence from multiple disciplines, produce imagery-derived reports and graphics, and help deliver actionable intelligence to senior Government decision-makers.
Responsibilities
- Develop FMV tradecraft through a three-week formal training course and a robust on-the-job training program.
- Exploit FMV collected by ISR platforms and apply HUMINT and SIGINT context to produce actionable intelligence.
- Create and distribute imagery-derived graphic products and reports for senior decision-makers across Government agencies.
- Compile, prepare, and communicate intelligence materials that support high-level briefings and operational understanding.
- Use advanced imagery tools, including electronic light tables, to exploit national technical means imagery.
- Support continuous improvement in analytic quality, reporting clarity, and customer mission support.
- Analyze live or recorded FMV from ISR platforms and identify mission-relevant activity, patterns, and anomalies.
- Fuse FMV observations with HUMINT, SIGINT, and broader intelligence context to support actionable assessments.
- Build imagery-derived graphic products, reports, and briefing materials that communicate findings clearly under operational timelines.
- Use FMV exploitation tools, electronic light tables, and national imagery sources to support precise analysis and reporting.
- Participate in formal training, OJT, and mission-specific familiarization to deepen motion GEOINT capability.
- Work rotating 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, while maintaining accuracy, focus, and team communication.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI security clearance and willing to submit to CI polygraph.
- Three (3) or more years of intelligence experience.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field of study required.
- Completion of a formal intelligence school course, typically three or more months full time, resulting in an Intelligence MOS such as All-Source, IMINT, SIGINT, or HUMINT.
- Understanding of the basic intelligence cycle and the TCPED process.
- Ability to type at least 32 words per minute with 90% accuracy without looking at the keyboard.
- Ability to accurately distinguish red, green, blue, and yellow on video screens.
- Ability to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am, alternating days and nights monthly, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior military training and intelligence experience.
- Basic understanding of national-level imagery production standards.
- Familiarity with FMV exploitation, FMV sensor capabilities, and national imagery analysis.
- Background in counterterrorism analysis or high-tempo operational intelligence support.
- Ability to relay and articulate information clearly during dynamic operations.
- Proficiency solving routine tasks of varying complexity using established procedures.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of SAR, GMTI, and counterterrorism analysis.
Location and Physical Requirements
Location: McLean, VA
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.
Pay
Salary: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 USD per year.
