About the role
As a member of the Orthopaedics Sales Team, the Sales Representative will work with the team within an assigned territory and hospital accounts. Responsibilities include assisting in the scheduling of operative cases, securing inventory for those cases, observing, and consulting the surgical team on Smith Nephew instrumentation and implants, and completing the logistical requirements associated with those cases.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the scheduling of operative cases
- Secure inventory for operative cases
- Observe and consult the surgical team on Smith Nephew instrumentation and implants
- Complete logistical requirements associated with operative cases
- Build rapport with surgeons, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), hospital staff, and co-workers to enhance access to customers
- Develop an effective territory business plan to generate revenue and meet/exceed quota
- Collaborate with teammates to provide data-driven, trusted solutions
- Provide technical support to ensure product availability meets customer and patient needs
- Partners with Smith+Nephew Reconstruction and Sports Medicine counterparts to discover sales opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years of professional sales experience
- Valid driver’s license applicable to current residence
Qualifications
- Ability to assimilate and learn a high level of technical information related to surgery and procedures
- Technical expertise in the Orthopaedics portfolio through structured training and assessments
- Positive relationships with surgeons, KOLs, hospital staff, and co-workers
- Team-oriented, highly attentive to detail, and flexible to work untraditional hours
- Self-motivated salesperson committed to driving the business forward
- Resourceful consultant proficient in joint reconstruction

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
The role requires professionals to be available for travel within the designated sales territory with 2-4 overnight stays per month. Infrequent national travel for events and conferences may be required.
