About the role
As a member of the Orthopaedics Sales Team, the Associate Sales Representative (ASR) will work with the team within an assigned territory and hospital accounts. Within those accounts, the ASR will assist in scheduling operative cases, securing inventory, observing, and consulting the surgical team on Smith Nephew instrumentation and implants, and completing logistical requirements associated with those cases.
Responsibilities
- Assist in scheduling operative cases and securing inventory for those cases.
- Observe and consult the surgical team on Smith Nephew instrumentation and implants.
- Complete logistical requirements associated with operative cases.
- Build rapport with surgeons, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), hospital staff, and co-workers to enhance access to customers.
- Develop an effective territory business plan to generate revenue and meet/exceed quota.
- Collaborate with teammates to take strategic responsibility for the area and work with customers to deliver the best solutions for patients.
- Provide first-class technical support to ensure product availability meets customer and patient needs.
- Partner with all Smith-Nephew Reconstruction and Sports Medicine counterparts in the region to discover sales opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of professional sales experience.
- A valid driver's license applicable to current residence to facilitate travel requirements.
Qualifications
- Ability to assimilate and learn a high level of technical information related to surgery and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with surgeons, KOLs, hospital staff, and co-workers.
- Self-motivated and results-driven with a passion for driving the business forward.
- Resourceful and committed to becoming proficient in joint reconstruction.
