About the role

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Services Recruiting team is seeking a talented, customer-focused Full Lifecycle Recruiter II to join our global recruiting organization. This role supports AWS technical teams in managing end-to-end recruiting for Technical Infrastructure Program Managers and International Business Developers - Tech roles, from sourcing through offer acceptance and onboarding.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end recruiting for Technical Infrastructure Program Manager and International Business Developer - Tech roles, managing requisitions from intake through offer acceptance and onboarding.
  • Leverage telecommunications industry knowledge to identify, assess, and close qualified candidates with relevant telecom backgrounds.
  • Proactively source passive tech candidates with telecom backgrounds using Boolean, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other tools.
  • Conduct phone screens and technical assessments to evaluate candidate qualifications, compensation expectations, and skill level.
  • Partner with hiring managers to refine sourcing and closing strategies, providing market intelligence on telecom talent availability, competitive landscape, compensation trends, and effective engagement strategies.
  • Prepare candidates for success by coaching them on behavioral interviewing techniques and close qualified candidates by negotiating offers, addressing concerns, and articulating AWS's value proposition.
  • Own recruiting projects that improve hiring effectiveness and metrics (pipeline activity, conversion rates, candidate experience, cycle time).
  • Monitor external talent pipeline and trends in the telecommunications industry (competition, costs, productivity, retention) to engage hiring managers in discussions about sourcing opportunities and process improvements.
  • Drive positive candidate experiences by influencing hiring teams to follow recruiting best practices, including writing effective job descriptions, providing clear value propositions, and delivering excellent candidate interactions.
  • Recommend strategies that contribute to pipeline health and quality, implementing new sourcing and closing techniques for hard-to-fill technical openings requiring telecom expertise.
  • Document recruiting plans with clear deliverables, timelines, and metrics to track pipeline development, candidate engagement effectiveness, and hiring outcomes.
  • Participate in special projects and recruiting initiatives while mentoring new team members and driving operational excellence improvements.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of closing candidates and negotiating offers experience
  • 3+ years of technical recruiting including full life cycle recruiting experience
  • 3+ years of recruiting mid-senior level talent experience
  • Knowledge of social media recruiting and current market trends

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a network planning, network construction/implementation, or commercial implementation role at an ISP, telecoms operator, or Hyperscaler
  • Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence, or experience as a lean sensei
