About the role
Full Life Care is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for adults and their caregivers. We help adults with chronic illnesses, physical or developmental disabilities, regardless of their income.
Responsibilities
- Support our adult day health program by providing personal care and facilitating therapeutic group activities for clients.
- Build a caring relationship with clients to assist with their needs and goals, collaborating with caregivers and team members to support care plans.
- Maintain care by observing and communicating changes in client condition.
- Promote a safe and healthy environment for the client.
- Promote client independence, guide education, and encourage engagement by leading activities that clients enjoy.
- Aid in monitoring participation in activities and provide support as needed.
- Assist with kitchen duties such as meal prep, food service, and dishwashing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in a health or social services setting (optional).
- Completion of HIV/AIDS information course (can be completed after hire).
- Annual flu vaccination required (medical or religious exemptions accepted).
- Completion of a background check, drug screen.
Qualifications
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to assist clients with mobility support.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- Knowledge of health and social services.
- Experience with therapeutic group activities.
- Ability to lead and engage clients in activities.
- Basic kitchen skills.
