About the role
Full Life Care is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for adults and their caregivers. We help adults with chronic illnesses, physical or developmental disabilities, regardless of their income.
Responsibilities
- Supports clients' well-being, independence, and functional abilities through evaluations and individualized treatment plans.
- Develops and facilitates therapeutic groups and walking programs.
- Aids in the development of individual treatment plans.
- Maintains a safe, therapeutic group environment for clients and team members.
- Maintains continuity of care among team members and other client partners.
- Trains team members on effective, safe, and fun therapeutic group activities.
- Analyzes the quality of programs offered and provides recommendations for improvement.
- Monitors progress toward service goals by working with clients, caregivers, and team members.
- Coordinates and facilitates a walking program for clients.
- Contributes to staff and client safety by developing and facilitating staff training focused on fall prevention, transfers, and back safety.
- Serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality program delivery.
Requirements
- Licensed in Washington state as an Occupational Therapist with one or more years of experience in a health or social services setting.
- Valid CPR certification and completion of the HIV/AIDS information course.
- Physical requirements include being able to lift up to 25 lbs.
