Fulani Linguist, CAT III with Security Clearance

About the role

The Fulani Linguist, CAT III position at WorldWide Language Resources supports U.S. and allied government missions globally. Key responsibilities include conducting DOCEX, verbal translation, audio translation, and training/sustaining operations. This role requires adaptability, quick thinking, and proficiency in both the Fulani and English languages.

Responsibilities

• Conduct consecutive, accurate translations and interpretations of on-going conversations and activities
• Provide language or dialect specific translations using correct sentence structure in the required language and English
• May be required to deploy to austere or harsh conditions and work any hours and days as needed
• Must be available to work outside the wire and be physically fit for these duties
• Must have the ability to conduct DOCEX, verbal translation, audio translation, and training/sustaining operations

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship
• Active TS/SCI level personnel security clearance
• Passing of read/write/listen/speak evaluations for the Fulani language
• Appropriate country clearance/visa, as applicable or required

Qualifications

• Proficiency in the Fulani and English languages
• Ability to type and use basic computer skills, including Windows, MS Word, and MS Excel
• Read, write, listen, and speak with clear, concise grammar and pronunciation in the required languages
• Ability to function effectively and efficiently during high-pressure and stressful situations
