Fueler - GSO - FT

About the Role

A Fueler is responsible for the fueling and servicing of aircraft, ensuring safe and efficient operations of equipment used in fueling. This includes performing fueling and de-fueling tasks, maintaining accurate fuel transaction records, and conducting de-icing functions as required. The role operates in various weather conditions and involves working near stationary and moving aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Perform fueling and de-fueling operations safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate accounting of fuel transactions.
• Conduct de-icing functions as needed.
• Keep equipment clean and functional.
• Ensure correct loading and balancing of fuel.
• Operate fuel trucks, hydrant carts, and stationary carts to fuel aircraft.
• Work in varying weather and environmental conditions, including precipitation, extreme temperatures, jet engine fumes, dust, and noise.
• Regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Lift and/or move up to 100 pounds regularly.
• Operate company vehicles safely.
• Perform mathematical functions related to weight, measurement, and volume.
• Communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing, for job duties and safety.
• Wear prescribed uniform and insignia.
• Report to work regularly and on time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three to six months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass background checks (criminal and motor vehicle), drug tests, and receive/maintain an airport security badge.
• Legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
• Knowledge of fueling/de-fueling procedures for aircraft and ground equipment preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• Successful completion of the Company’s PST program.
• Commercial Driver License (HI locations only).
