Fuel Truck Operator / CDL A Driver

About the role
The Fuel Truck Operator is responsible for fueling equipment in the field at sites across the Phoenix/Metro area. There will be a $500 sign-on bonus after 60 days and another $500 sign-on bonus after 180 days.
Responsibilities
- Operate Class A truck/trailer through all types of environments, including off-road on job sites
- Transport fuel safely along assigned local or regional routes
- Pump gas or diesel directly into storage tanks, fleet vehicles, or machinery
- Complete thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks
- Monitor equipment for leaks and ensure proper tank grounding during loading and unloading
- Read and navigate maps
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections as required by company and federal regulations
- Operate an electronic log book device for driver’s hours of service regulations
- Verify load for accuracy
- Perform inspections at job sites to ensure a safe environment for loading/unloading
- Follow all federal, state, and local DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulations
- Maintain accurate electronic or paper logs of driving hours, fuel inventory, and delivery tickets
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers and on-site contacts
- Maintain a clean workspace and professional demeanor
- Communicate with customers
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must have a Class A/B CDL in good standing with HazMat AND Tanker Endorsement
- Valid medical card
- At least 2 years of recent trucking experience
- Ability to lift and pull heavy hoses (up to 75 lbs) and climb ladders in various weather conditions
