Fuel Tanker Truck Senior Driver - Day Shift, Mon-Fri
Job Description
The Petroleum Product Tanker Driver's responsibilities include safe product handling, product quality assurance, and product transportation consistent with regulatory compliance and Company operating goals. The Petroleum Product Tanker Driver is responsible for the pick-up and the drop-off of a specified liquid or gas. The driver must keep the truck properly maintained and must follow all safe driving regulations.
Responsibilities
- Transports deliveries in a safe, responsible manner and in accordance with company policy and applicable State & Federal regulations.
- Applies knowledge and abilities to safely load and unload deliveries according to the capacity of the load and content description.
- Processes and maintains proper delivery authorization and pickup documentation and submits in a timely manner.
- Maintains communication with dispatch as to any delays or issues during route/shift.
- Provides good customer service and maintains a professional manner and appearance to enhance the company’s image.
- Performs a daily DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspection checklist, informing maintenance personnel of any issues.
- Maintains a daily, legible DOT log book and submits logbooks as required by company policy.
- Maintains vehicle in a neat and tidy manner.
- Reports all accidents/damages/malfunctions immediately to management as per company policy and procedure.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid Class A CDL with TWIC, HAZMAT, and Tank Endorsement
- Senior driver considered after 5th year of tanker driving experience
- Minimum of 24 months commercial driving experience
- No more than 2 major moving violations within a 3 year period
- No more than 2 accidents within a 3 year period
- DOT Drug Screening required
- No Felony convictions
- No DUI's/ DWI's within the last 7 years
- No positive or refused drug or alcohol tests
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate
- Must be 23 Years of age or older
- Able to perform repetitive motion activities throughout the day
- Able to get into and out of the truck frequently
- Able to lift and/or move 75 lbs on a regular basis
- Able to work 10-12 hours per day, 5 days/week

Working Conditions
- Regular exposure to work near moving mechanical parts
- Able to sit for an average of 65-75% of working hours
- Regular exposure to very dusty and noisy conditions
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions
- Exposure to chemicals used in the process
- Working conditions require work weeks that may consist of more than 40 hours or shift work
