Fuel Operator, PM, Garage - Boynton Beach

Responsibilities

• Performing a number of functions on a variety of fleet vehicles and equipment according to company policy, federal, state, and local regulations, and personal knowledge of the equipment.
• Driving a refueling tanker using specialized computer fuel management equipment to locate trailers for fueling.
• Checking refrigerated trailer fluid levels and adding fluids as needed.
• Keeping fuel logs.
• Refilling the fuel tanker using specialized safety equipment.
• Aiding in the bulk refueling process.
• Conducting fuel audits.
• Cleaning and detailing equipment.

Requirements

• At least 20 years old.
• Valid driver's license and authorization to drive a company vehicle on or before start date.
• Able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time.
• Able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
• Able to generate and process work on a computerized fuel-management system.
• Able to read, write, and solve math problems.
• Able to interpret, understand, and follow instructions.
• Able to work well with others and be a team member.
• Show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work.
• Show commitment to Publix’s mission.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current Boynton Beach Distribution associate.

Pay

• Night differential: $.75 per hour for hours between midnight and 3:00 a.m.
• Weekend differential: $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00 a.m. Saturday through 11:59 p.m. Sunday.

Schedule

• Extended periods of time required.
