About the role
A Fuel Driver delivers petroleum products to customer locations safely, efficiently, and on time, as directed by dispatch. This position operates 24/7, year-round, in all weather conditions and offers a competitive compensation package, including a Quarterly Driver Safety Bonus Program up to $1,500.00.
Responsibilities
- Deliver loads in a safe and timely manner
- Follow all Offen policies, procedures, local, and federal laws
- Safely operate equipment, including power units, power take off, hydraulic pumps, gravity drop tank trailers, and tank wagons
- Wear company uniforms and required personal protective equipment at terminals and customer locations
- Follow DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration rules and regulations
- Comply with mandatory drug and alcohol standards
- Ensure company vehicle is safe, reliable, and serviced regularly; report repair needs to the service manager
- Maintain legal, electronic logs and paper logs if necessary
- Attend required driver training and safety meetings
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately and submit at the end of every shift
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent preferred
- Valid Class A commercial driver’s license with tanker and hazmat endorsements
- Valid driver’s license for the state of operation
- At least 3 years of satisfactory driving history; fuel delivery experience preferred but not required
- Knowledge of DOT and OSHA compliance regulations
- Comfort working with technology, including fleet management systems (Samsara), phone, and email
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to operate trucks with manual and automatic transmissions
- Ability to coordinate with other drivers in slip-seat situations
- Self-motivated, responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or with others

Working Environment and Physical Demands
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift
- Ability to walk, squat, stoop, kneel, and bend repeatedly at each delivery location
- Ability to enter and exit truck cab multiple times per day
- Ability to climb on top of and inspect the trailer
- Ability to regularly pass a DOT physical and maintain FMCSA drug and alcohol standards
