Fuel Dock Attendant

Key Responsibilities

• Vessel Fueling: Securely tie off boats, handle heavy fuel nozzles, and accurately pump gas or diesel into marine tanks.
• Dock Assistance: Catch dock lines, tie boats off safely, and guide boaters safely into and out of narrow slips or transient docks.
• Customer Service: Greet boaters, answer questions about marina amenities, and handle cash or credit card transactions for fuel and convenience items (e.g., ice, bait, snacks).
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce "no smoking" and engine shut-off rules, monitor for fuel spills, and deploy containment booms or absorbent pads if a spill occurs.
• Dock Maintenance: Keep the fuel dock clear of hazards, empty trash bins, and clean the dock area.
