Fuel Delivery Driver/Service Tech with CDL (Hazmat/Tanker)

About the role

We're looking for an outstanding Fuel Delivery Driver/Service Tech to join our team at our Lovingston Plant. This position requires an individual to safely load, then drive a bobtail delivery vehicle to residential and commercial customer locations, and to be cross-trained as a Service Technician. We seek someone with a real passion for customer service who thrives in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. This is a full-time, year-round role.

Responsibilities

• Loads, secures, transports, delivers, and unloads propane and other fuel to and from specified destinations.
• Inspects vehicle and notifies supervisor of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance.
• Prepares and maintains records in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
• Operates delivery truck in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Operates as a Service Technician performing tank maintenance and other tasks.
• Collaborates with Dispatcher to plan and follow routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Provides exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering questions.
• Completes required on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend emergency deliveries and responses.
• Ensures truck and associated equipment are clean and in good working order.
• Assists with plant maintenance and other tasks outside of the heating season.

Requirements

• Possess a CDL Class A or B License with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
• Commitment to safety in all aspects of your work.
• Experience maneuvering in tight quarters and driving in snow, ice, and other weather conditions.
• Physically capable of heavy lifting, bending, squatting, climbing, and carrying hoses/nozzles weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Good driving record with no major convictions.
• Able to communicate effectively verbally and in written correspondence with Dispatcher and customers.
• Able to read and understand road signs, instructions, routes, and other paperwork.
• Displays a positive, “can-do” attitude and interacts well with others on a team.
• Pass a pre-employment DOT physical, drug screen, and MVR check.

Pay

$24 to $26 per hour.
