The primary function of this position is the interfacility transportation of patients to and from different care facilities. Under general supervision, performs emergency medical and trauma care to patients. Conform to all protocols and guidelines established by the department and city. Assesses patients and when appropriate, stabilize patients so that they may be safely transported to and from the hospital, in accordance with protocols and guidelines established by the department and physician medical directors. This position is specific to the department operating an inter facility transfer ambulance, with some responsibilities outside of transfers.
