FT Merchandise Coordinator

About the role

You’ll be part of a vibrant team that executes receiving and merchandising standards while ensuring Associates process efficiently and effectively. This role focuses on delivering an excellent customer experience, maintaining a clean and organized store, and fostering teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Role model exceptional customer service and create a positive internal and external customer experience.
• Promote a culture of honesty and integrity while maintaining confidentiality.
• Orchestrate truck delivery and prioritize processing merchandise onto the sales floor.
• Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles.
• Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
• Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to the sales floor.
• Ensure Associates complete tasks according to store plan and prioritize as needed.
• Monitor team productivity and provide coaching as necessary.
• Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment.
• Maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the backroom area.
• Ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs where applicable.
• Communicate accurately with management and Associates regarding priorities and progress updates.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
• Ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
• Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Capable of multitasking and responding appropriately to changes or unexpected situations.
• Team player who works effectively with peers and supervisors.
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Able to train others.
• 1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.

Pay

This position has a starting pay range of $17.25 to $17.75 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
