FT Mechanic/Technician Apprentice

About the role

This position trains and mentors FT Mechanic/Technicians in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining various types of equipment used in freight transportation.

Responsibilities

• Track completed and uncompleted work to meet service schedules and customer commitments
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis on component parts and systems of trucks, tractors, converter gear, and forklifts
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or other failures
• Perform routine maintenance such as lubrication, cooling system tests, brake adjustments, and tire inflation
• Repair or rebuild all or part of a system of assigned equipment as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver's License
• Pass background check and drug/alcohol test

Qualifications

• Prior experience in Diesel Engine Repair, Automotive Diagnostics, Automotive Service, Welding, Fabrication, ASE Certification, or Diesel Engine Certification preferred
