FT Maintenance Mechanic A - DC03

Duties And Responsibilities

• Ensure all equipment and facilities are operating effectively and efficiently in order to support all operations.
• Make sure all equipment meets standards, codes and regulatory requirements.
• Carry out duties in a productive manner and learn skills available through training and job shadowing.
• Enter work into the computer maintenance system throughout work shift and use to investigate and identify repeat repairs and previous work performed on that equipment.
• Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance on all equipment and systems as necessary.
• Be proficient in performing preventative and predictive maintenance with little or no assistance.
• Able to safely shut down systems and equipment and meets all standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Able to trouble shoot and perform repairs on complex systems and equipment.
• Meet evaluation standards on work orders and observations by management to assess and evaluate skill level and proficiency within maintenance department.
• Provide guidance and training to Mechanic B level individuals and support associates.
• Remain proficient in maintenance trade as required and stay current with today's technology as required and offered by training courses/classes.
• Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting work group or center that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with company standards in the areas of accuracy, safety and productivity.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in mechanical areas.
• Certified on powered industrial equipment where applicable.
• Familiarity/experience in maintenance environment.
• The individual will need to show elevated experience, expertise, and proficiency in the following essential functions to be hired or hold a Mechanic A level position in one or more of the following areas based on assessment by manager:
• Safety
• Electrical
• Refrigeration
• Material Handling
• Mechanical
• Welding
• Fire Systems
• Domestic Water/Waste Water
