About the role

The Laboratory Support Technician (LST II) supports the provider care team by providing laboratory support mechanisms. This role requires accurate, timely, and effective service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Accurately acquire all required types of specimens as needed.
• Perform laboratory testing using safe, accurate, and effective methods while adhering to HIPAA confidentiality guidelines and lab policies.
• Provide excellent customer service to all customers in accordance with Mercy's Signature Service Standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of phlebotomy or clinical laboratory experience.

Qualifications

• Successfully complete specific facility competencies, including but not limited to a checklist, written examination, management observation, etc.

Skills

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of HIPAA confidentiality requirements.
