About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, administer infusions and injections with precision, and conduct patient assessments.
  • Educate and support patients through treatment expectations, potential side effects, and disease management.
  • Ensure compliance and quality by maintaining accurate records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, reviewing nursing documentation, and upholding HIPAA and OSHA standards.
  • Optimize clinical workflows by assisting with chart preparation and treatment planning to streamline patient visits.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams, including referring providers and cross-functional teams, to enhance care coordination.
  • Support operations and training by assisting with inventory management, prior authorizations, and regulatory adherence.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support patient care and organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted licenses: Nurse Practitioner (NP) license and Registered Nurse (RN) license (if required by the state).
  • Board certification: AANP or ANCC certification required.
  • Life support certifications: BLS certification required; PALS certification preferred.
  • Clinical experience: Background in an ambulatory infusion center, outpatient specialty clinic, or similar setting is a plus.
  • Ability to treat a diverse patient population: Must be able to care for both adults and pediatrics—Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) preferred.
  • Strong IV and infusion therapy skills: Experience with specialty biologics, medication management, and emergency response protocols.
  • Proficiency in clinical documentation: Experience with EHR systems and a strong understanding of HIPAA and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional communication & collaboration: Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent years of relevant experience.
  • Healthcare collaboration: Experience working directly with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff.
  • Sales experience: Knowledge or experience in home health, hospice, DME, or imaging sales is a plus.

Skills

  • Healthcare expertise: Strong working knowledge of managed care plans, insurance carriers, referral and precertification processes, and documentation guidelines.
  • Industry knowledge: Interest or experience in the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry is highly desirable.
  • Customer-centric mindset: Exceptional customer service skills with a competitive, customer-focused attitude.
  • Organizational excellence: Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Collaborative spirit: Proven ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Technical proficiency: Proficient in standard office software applications, including Internet browsers, Outlook, and Microsoft Office Suite.
