About the role

This position provides supportive services for those housing, assesses clients' needs and qualifications for multiple programs, and develops a treatment plan for their goals. Services include meeting with clients in their homes, in the community, or the office for training and skill development, and assisting with housing applications.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses clients’ housing needs and develops treatment plans for their goals/needs.
  • Mets with clients in the community to assist with housing-related activities such as Social Security, Food Stamps, HUD, rent assistance, landlord/tenant issues, etc.
  • Teaches clients communication, resume, coping skills, problem-solving, interview, and computer skills in the community or the office.
  • Teaches clients “good tenant skills” in the community or the office.
  • Meets with staff and community stakeholders to educate them on programs provided and how clients qualify for them.
  • Adheres to billing and reporting standards for multiple housing grants.
  • Conducts monthly home visits for housing clients.
  • Communicates with staff and coworkers about clients’ needs.
  • Attends monthly/quarterly housing program conference calls.
  • Attends yearly training for housing programs.
  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance for the assigned work schedule.
  • Maintains HIPAA and client confidentiality at all times.

Requirements

  • Minimum of associate's degree in psychology, social work, or related field.
  • Two years experience in working with a targeted population—low income adults and families with severe mental illness.
  • Spanish-speaking individuals are strongly encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

  • Full Time, 40 Hours per week.
  • $18.76 / HR ($39,015.00 annually).

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of housing programs and eligibility criteria.
  • Basic computer skills.
