PRIMARY PURPOSE
Lead the Hannaford to Go Team and assist the Assistant Store Manager-Service in maintaining department operations to meet financial and sales goals. Build associate and customer relations and promote a strong culture in support of the Hannaford Strategy.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the Hannaford To Go Department operations in accordance with established department standard practices, in the absence of the Assistant Store Manager-Service.
- Lead excellent customer service and goodwill by role modeling and providing high standards in customer service and sales building.
- Support that department conditions involving appearance, safety, sanitation, and food safety are maintained at the highest level.
- Maintain accurate records and assist in making sure all yearly certifications are up to date.
- Utilize company tools such as: financial reports, scheduling, productivity, ordering and business information systems.
- Aid in creating and maintaining effective work schedules to meet customer service standards as well as associates' personal needs.
- Use good judgement in the delegation, assignment, and follow up required for the efficient performance of the department.
- Provide real time coaching, feedback, and assist with the performance management process.
- Aid in training and developing associates to meet department needs.
- Maintain solid communication in the department and with store management.
- Observe and follow all company policies, established standard practices and legal requirements.
- Perform all other duties and projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A high school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Retail customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to lead and direct others.
- Understanding of store operations preferred.
- Effective communication, customer service and selling skills.
- Effective interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Must meet minimum age requirements
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Perform repetitive hand/arm motions while standing the majority of the shift.
- Continuous fine finger motions such as pinching, grasping when handling money.
- Bend and lift products weighing up to 15 pounds continuously, 25 pounds frequently, and 45 pounds on occasion.
- Push or pull up to 75 pounds on occasion.
- Handle a variety of substances associated with cleaning materials, packaging materials, and food products.
- Have sufficient visual acuity to check identification cards, checks, invoices and other written documents.
- Perform repetitive hand and arm motions.
- Stand or walk 100% of the time.
- Continuous fine finger motions such as pinching, grasping when handling money.
- Bend and lift products weighing up to 15 pounds continuously, 25 pounds frequently, and 50 pounds on occasion.
- Push or pull up to 75 pounds on occasion.
- Be able to handle a variety of substances associated with cleaning materials, packaging materials, fresh fruits, vegetables, house plants/flowers and household cleaners.
- Have sufficient visual acuity to read the RF unit display screen as well as check identification cards, checks, invoices and other written documents.
- Work in and out of inclement weather when necessary.
- Gather up to 5 shopping carts and push them to designated area.
- Ability to use computers, calculators and communication systems required to perform all job functions.
SALARY RANGE
Salary range is between $ 21.75 - $31.60 Hrly
