FT Center Store Lead

PRIMARY PURPOSE

Aid the Center Store (Grocery) Manager in delivering high-quality customer service within the Center Store (Grocery) Department. Uphold standards as outlined in the standard practice manual, boost sales through exceptional customer service, and reduce loss through proper stock management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere emphasizing quick, courteous, and accurate service to enhance customer satisfaction
• Be attentive and supportive to fellow employees
• Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the Center Store (Grocery) team members
• Support the Center Store (Grocery) Manager in training, scheduling, and managing the stock crew
• Achieve the productivity targets set for the stock crew
• Stock products according to policies and guidelines
• Place only sellable items on shelves
• Maintain proper shelf allocations as indicated by item tags
• Follow company policies and guidelines regarding ordering, receiving, preparing, and displaying merchandise
• Utilize company tools like Average Cost Inventory System (ACIS) and Ordering (CAO)
• Stay updated on and adhere to company guidelines, policies, and standard practices
• Comply with Food Safety and Workplace Safety protocols
• Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to the Manager on Duty
• Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations
• Wear the Food Lion uniform and maintain a neat appearance
• Complete Computer Based Training (CBT), Training Packet, and Training Aid courses
• Perform additional duties as directed

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service skills
• Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks and technical requirements
• Capable of using technical information to resolve issues
• Must meet minimum age requirements for specific job functions
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for extended periods, bending, lifting up to 15 lbs., and pushing/pulling up to 2000 lbs. using a pallet jack
• Must be able to handle various substances commonly found in the workplace, such as cleaning materials, fresh produce, and household chemicals
• Must be able to operate various equipment, including cash registers, scanners, computers, and calculators
• Must have the ability to reach and grasp objects at different heights and distances
• Must meet established performance metrics for the position
• Must be able to work in both hot and cold environments for brief periods
• Must be able to read and interpret ID cards, checks, invoices, and other written documents

SALARY RANGE

$14.20 - $21.30 per hour
