About the Role

Responsibilities

• Ensure work in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Virginia Department of Health
• Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
• Read recipes and follow recipe directions
• Practice proper food handling techniques and maintain safe temperatures on all food items worked with
• Chill cooked recipe items to appropriate safe temperature within appropriate timeframe and document all temperatures on appropriate HACCP log sheets
• Wash, rinse, and sanitize equipment and work surfaces and store all cleaning materials in designated locations; and assist with tray assembly and/or tray delivery as required

Qualifications

• Experience in food service

Additional Considerations

• Prior institutional food service experience beyond beginning level
• High School Graduate or Equivalent
• Bilingual
• Veteran or veteran spouse
