About the role

You will perform business assurance assessments and recommend certification, deferral, suspension, or withdrawal of certification in accordance with FSSC22000 and ISO9001 management systems standards. In addition, you will be qualified to audit a range of additional 2nd party addendums. You will actively build strong external and internal client relationships. The outcome of your assessments will result in accurate, insightful reports that will be of real worth to our clients and meet demanding Technical review expectations.

Initial Ideal Requirements

• Have GFSI Lead auditor certification (FSSC, SQF, BRCGS or ISO9001)
• Have experience in third party auditing/assessment to ISO22000 / FSSC22000 and / or ISO9001 / other GFSI standard including process style and compliance auditing
• Have a minimum of 3 years of full-time work experience in the food-chain-related industry, including at least two years of work in quality assurance or food safety functions within food manufacturing or equivalent
• Have experience of several food sectors including but not limited to perishable fresh food processing (salad, juices , nuts & fruit etc), confectionary, beverage, thermal food processing ( canning, aseptics, dairy). Animal feed manufacture and packaging manufacturing would be a bonus
• Hold a degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant subject (including studies in general microbiology, general chemistry, and food science)
• Possess a high standard of personal presentation, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a flexible attitude
• The role will require travel every week to client sites and some weekend travel
• Be keenly focused on client service excellence
• Competent in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Work safely and robustly implement health and safety rules, instructions, and systems
