FSQA Tech I - 2nd Shift - Demopolis

Responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor, and enforce USDA Regulatory, Corporate Guidelines, and Quality Assurance Programs, including conducting internal audits.
• Interface with Production Supervisors and hourly Team Members on production and quality procedures.
• Work with USDA personnel to handle regulatory issues.
• Maintain the micro-hold product program, holding product that does not conform to customer agreements, finished product specifications, or legal requirements and making decisions regarding product disposition including release.
• Provide leadership to QA technicians regarding their concerns with procedures, product quality, regulatory requirements, and corporate procedures.
• Maintain Quality Reporting Systems.

Qualifications

• Able to work weekends, holidays, varying shifts, and overtime as needed.
• Able to submit and pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and E-Verify.
• Able to read and write English legibly.
• Able to communicate with all levels including management.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Able to make decisions for flagging deviations from procedures.
• Able to work safely and set an example of safe working habits for coworkers.
• Able to pass company Forklift assessments to obtain a company-issued Forklift license.
• Able to wear company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED), 3 years of experience in food processing, and knowledge of USDA regulations, HACCP, GMPs, and SSOPs preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours on a wet concrete floor.
• Must be able to withstand a cold (40-48 degree) environment.
• Must be able to withstand a hot (80+ degree) environment.
• Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
