FSO FAAS-Transactions-Manager
About the role
The opportunity involves advising companies on complex financial reporting and accounting matters, including revenue recognition, share-based payments, financial asset transfers, consolidation, leases, and mergers and acquisitions. This role requires a strong focus on listening to and understanding clients' unique challenges, enabling you to deliver tailored insights and an exceptional client experience.
Responsibilities
- Consulting with clients on complex and technical accounting issues
- Collaborating with partners, senior managers, and clients to influence strategy, balancing risk and client expectations
- Ensuring the Engagement team thoroughly understands clients' unique needs, ambitions, and expectations
- Building relationships with colleagues across multiple service lines to provide seamless integrated service
- Managing performance and identifying opportunities to improve products and processes
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree, CPA certification, and 2 to 5 years work experience preferably as an auditor in a public accounting firm
- Strong technical writing and presentation skills
- A thorough understanding of US GAAP
- Exposure or interest in revenue recognition, share-based payments, financial asset transfers such as securitizations and factoring agreements, consolidations, and equity method accounting
- Exposure to strategic transactions, such as business combinations, M&As, and joint ventures
- An understanding of the financial services industry, as well as commonly used terminology, processes, and tools
- A proven record of excellence when managing, mentoring, and improving a team of high-performing colleagues
- The confidence to research and resolve emerging client issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies
Qualifications

Pay
The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $112,700 to $206,500. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento) is $135,200 to $234,800. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
Schedule
Our expectation is for most people in external, client-serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project, or year.
