Fry Cook: Full-Time Hanover

About the role

The Fry Cook supports the Deli Department under the direction of the Deli Manager and/or Head Chef. You will maintain high standards of customer service, professionalism, and cleanliness while performing a variety of food preparation and kitchen duties.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain fryer equipment with competent knowledge
• Manage kitchen inventory, ensuring quality and sufficient quantities
• Set up the hot foods case daily
• Wash dishes and maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation
• Merchandise and maintain prepared foods displays
• Prepare entrees for hot and cold food displays
• Follow all food safety policies and procedures
• Adhere to the Customer Service Pledge and dress code at all times
• Arrive at your workstation on time at the start of each shift
• Comply with all safety policies and company procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head Chef or supervisors

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Basic math skills for calculating weights and measurements
• Ability to hear, speak, and understand spoken English proficiently
• Ability to read, write, and interpret English for tasks such as following recipes and safety guidelines
• Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and tasting/smelling
• Regular use of hands and fingers to manipulate objects and tools
• Specific vision requirements: close, distant, and color vision with the ability to adjust focus
