About the role
Monitor pre-harvest and harvest for quality and quantity in a timely manner. Tracking bloom, estimating crop yields, assisting with harvest sequence, and getting fruit samples for the lab.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a valid Driver's License in good standing in order to operate a company vehicle.
- Assist in Fruit Evaluation Management team duties.
- Monitor crop volumes and fruit sizing across various ranches.
- Track trees for in-field fruit cataloging of characteristics and growth.
- Assist in the harvest sequence and direction of harvest crews.
- Learn fruit sampling techniques for fruit grading and maturity analysis.
- Assist in data entry and management of scientific resources.
- Training and supervision of seasonal workers.
- Frequent travel to and from fields will be necessary (vehicle, fuel and water will be provided).
- May work swing shifts.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with state specific food safety laws.
- Ability to see the "big picture" business perspective, but is willing to "roll up their sleeves" and do whatever it takes to get the job done.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to provide guidance and assistance to all levels of employees.

- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Oracle software.

Education & Experience
- Fruit Evaluation experience, with a specific emphasis in agriculture preferably within a production/manufacturing setting.
- Supplementary training and/or designations related to the quality assurance or food safety field, or equivalent education and experience, is desirable.

Pay
$19.25 / hour
