Frozen Food Sales Associate

About the role

Weis Markets is looking for an associate who values respect, teamwork, and community growth. This position is located at 9801 Courthouse Road.

Responsibilities

• Keep frozen food well stocked, appealing, and meeting customer demands while achieving efficiency and productivity standards.
• Greet customers with a smile, answer questions, and resolve concerns promptly and professionally.
• Ensure frozen food product is fresh, saleable, and correctly priced with proper tags or signage by following rotation standards.
• Handle spoiled, damaged, or near-expiration merchandise according to company procedures.
• Maintain the condition of the sales floor, cooler, and backroom, including general sanitation and adherence to cleaning schedules.
• Follow health and OSHA requirements for cleanliness of work areas, equipment, counters, and display cases; dispose of trash properly.
• Assist with receiving, unloading, checking-in, breaking-down, and storing deliveries using power jack or hand jack if properly trained (training provided).
• Assist with baling cardboard or related duties if properly trained (training provided).
• Review orders to manage inventory levels, minimize loss by following time and temperature guidelines, and report damages or discrepancies to management.
• Cooperate with co-workers and supervisors to ensure smooth department and store function; continuously improve job performance.
• Utilize all company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including cut-resistant gloves, safety cutters, and company-sponsored footwear.
• Assist in other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Completed or working towards a high school diploma or GED.
• No prior experience required.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without accommodation.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position starts at $12.77 and goes up to $20.00.
