Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment
- Achieve and exceed sales and profit goals
- Maintain quality assurance standards
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Embrace the Customer 1st strategy
- Communicate effectively with associates and customers
- Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold
- Respond to customer inquiries about products
- Recommend products to customers
- Check product quality and adhere to "sell by" dates
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise
- Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies
- Stay current with store promotions and advertising
- Adhere to food safety regulations
- Ensure proper storage temperatures
- Identify and report unsafe conditions
- Notify management of customer or employee accidents
- Report safety risks and illegal activities
Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years old
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Effective communication skills
- Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
- Retail experience preferred
- Desired: Second language (speaking, reading, writing)
- Positive attitude and ability to promote trust and respect
Qualifications
