Frontend Software Engineer
Basic Requirements
- Within the most recent 1.5 years, a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in programming with at least one (1) object-oriented language such as Java, Python, C++, or Go.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of experience building large platforms by integrating open-source or commercial software.
- Three (3) years of functional experience in containerization technology like Docker.
- Six (6) years of functional experience deploying applications to container orchestration technologies, such as Kubernetes.
Job Description
Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements.
Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and document test results.
Utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
Provide specific input to the software components of system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
Provide Help Desk Support; ticket handling/resolution, utilizing JIRA.
Required Experience
- Proficiency with React and JavaScript
- Proficiency with Git/GitLab; some knowledge and experience with CI/CD
- Experience with Helm, Kubectl, and Kubernetes
- Experience with Docker
Desired Experience
- Experience with Flux (FluxCD)
- Experience with OAuth2 Proxy
- Experience with Jira and Confluence
