Frontend Programmer Intern
About the role
As an intern on the Social Web team, you’ll ship real features that touch millions of players, gaining hands-on experience with production web development while being mentored through the full lifecycle of a feature, from design to deployment.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship features using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript, working directly in our production codebase
- Partner with senior engineers to design and implement UI components and user flows for the social overlay experience
- Debug issues and contribute fixes across the front end, with guidance from your team
- Participate in code reviews, both giving and receiving feedback, to build strong engineering habits
- Take ownership of a well-scoped project or feature over the course of your internship, from planning through to shipping
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Coursework or project experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript
- Familiarity with React or another modern front-end framework
- A strong interest in distributed systems
