Frontend Engineer, Ads

Reddit operates as a vast network of communities centered around shared interests and authentic conversations. It addresses the challenge of providing an open platform for diverse discussions, hosting over 100,000 active communities and attracting approximately 130 million daily active unique visitors, making it one of the internet's largest information sources.

The FRONTEND ENGINEER, ADS will contribute to the development of innovative ad experiences that enhance performance and functionality within the web application. This role supports the Brand Ad Formats team by creating high-impact, interactive advertising solutions that help advertisers maximize reach and brand impact, thereby playing a key role in advancing the program's position in video advertising and user engagement.

This is a fully remote position.

Responsibilities

• Develop ad experiences and reusable design patterns for the web application to improve ad functionality and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver complex, innovative solutions.
• Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle including design, development, quality assurance, experimentation, analysis, and deployment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience in web engineering.
• Proficiency in Typescript and Javascript.
• Ability to build data-intensive, highly responsive, and fault-tolerant applications.
• Experience with automated testing, code quality, design patterns, and observability.
• Skilled in conducting and receiving constructive code reviews.
• Experience using GenAI tools to enhance software engineering productivity.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration in a fully remote environment across technical and non-technical teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in advertising technology.
• Experience working on high-production-value consumer-facing websites at scale.

Pay

• Base salary range: $164,200 to $229,900 USD.
• Eligible for equity in the form of restricted stock units and possible commission depending on position.
