About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Frontend Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support, maintaining, and enhancing a critical client application. Your focus will be on ensuring the application’s accessibility, reliability, and optimal performance within an Agile, sprint-based development environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in modern web technologies, JavaScript frameworks, responsive design, and accessibility standards such as Section 508 compliance. You will leverage AWS cloud services, RESTful APIs, Git/GitHub, and open-source solutions to deliver scalable, user-centric applications that meet federal standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of frontend development experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or 3 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree)
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design principles
• Experience with JavaScript and modern frameworks such as React
• Understanding of Section 508 compliance and WCAG accessibility standards
• Experience with accessibility testing tools, both automated and manual
• Ability to consume and integrate RESTful APIs
• Experience working within agile development methodologies
• Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git/GitHub
• Experience creating web layouts from static images, views, and templates in full-stack frameworks
• Knowledge of AWS cloud environment and Python backend integration (preferred but not mandatory)

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support for the maintenance and enhancement of the client application
• Support development activities, including feature enhancements, accessibility improvements, integration, and optimization
• Ensure the availability and correct operation of the application at all times
• Work within a sprint-based Agile development cycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Implement responsive and accessible web interfaces adhering to Section 508 and WCAG standards
• Utilize AWS cloud services to deploy and manage application components
• Consume and integrate RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless data exchange
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for development processes and tools
