Frontend Developer

Birchwell Associates is supporting a growing technology business in the search for a Frontend Developer. This role will suit an engineer who cares about the detail of the user experience and enjoys turning product ideas and designs into reliable, production-ready applications.

About the role

You will work closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers and other frontend developers to deliver new SaaS features, improve existing journeys and maintain a consistent, high-quality component architecture.

Responsibilities

• Build responsive customer-facing product features using React and TypeScript.
• Translate product requirements and interface designs into clean, reusable frontend components.
• Integrate frontend applications with APIs and backend services.
• Improve accessibility, performance, browser compatibility and overall user experience.
• Contribute to component libraries, design systems, automated testing and frontend engineering standards.
• Take part in code reviews, technical discussions and collaborative product delivery.

Requirements

• Commercial experience building modern web applications with React.
• Strong TypeScript and JavaScript skills.
• Good knowledge of semantic HTML, modern CSS and responsive interface development.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and managing application state in production products.
• Familiarity with frontend testing, Git workflows and continuous delivery practices.
• Strong attention to detail and confidence collaborating with product, UX and engineering colleagues.

Benefits

• Salary between £45,000 and £55,000, depending on experience.
• Hybrid working from Cheshire.
