About the role

The Front Office Specialist schedules patient appointments, greets patients and visitors, answers and directs phone calls, checks patients in and out, verifies insurance eligibility and assists in general office duties.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM (Actual scheduled hours may vary depending on business needs)
  • 12+ PTO days per year
  • 3% 401K Contribution, even if you do not contribute (after 90 days of employment)
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits that start the first of the month following your start date
  • Knowledge of ICD-10, and CPT coding guidelines
  • Knowledge of Medicare guidelines
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Must be well organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, team members, physicians and the public
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus

Physical requirements

  • May include standing, sitting, and/or walking for extended periods
  • May include performing repetitive tasks
  • May include working with challenging patients
  • May include lifting up to 25 pounds

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalency

Skills

  • Customer service experience, preferably in healthcare
  • Current and valid driver’s license
  • Computer skills with Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of Medicare guidelines
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills
