Responsibilities
- Check-in and check-out duties including entering charges, collecting deductibles and coinsurances, posting payments, and scheduling follow-up appointments.
- Answering telephones, registering new patients, and making appointments.
- Multitasking while maintaining high levels of customer service and accuracy.
- Assisting patients with questions and requests, communicating proactively.
Requirements
- No prior work experience required.
- One year of customer service experience preferred.
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Excellent public relations skills.
- Pleasant, professional demeanor when dealing with the public, even irate or abusive individuals.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to work in high-stress situations.
- Team-oriented and able to work collaboratively.
- Proficient use of computer equipment.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Professional appearance and neatness.
Qualifications
