Based in Trumbull, CT, SFA Marketing is a leading B2B marketing firm specializing in innovative digital solutions. We are seeking a dynamic Front End Web Developer to join our team and contribute to projects that push the boundaries of web technology.
About the role
As a Front End Web Developer at SFA Marketing, you will create and maintain engaging, user-friendly web experiences. You’ll collaborate with design and development teams to turn high-level concepts into functional, visually appealing websites that directly impact our clients’ digital presence and success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain responsive, mobile-first web interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure a seamless and engaging user experience.
- Manage projects post-handoff from the creative team, assist with establishing development timelines, and ensure timely execution.
- Optimize websites for maximum speed and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure high performance and compatibility across devices and browsers.
- Develop custom HTML email messages for use across various email clients.
- Implement best practices for front-end development, including code quality, accessibility, and SEO.
- Stay updated with the latest web development trends and technologies to continuously improve processes and offerings.
- Work closely with back-end developers to integrate front-end components with server-side logic.
- Work directly with clients and internal stakeholders to establish project scope and direction.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in front-end web development.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, PHP, and JavaScript (ES6+).
- Familiarity with the Bootstrap framework.
- Experience building and managing custom WordPress sites and themes.
- Experience with custom CMS platforms such as Shopify, Joomla, and Squarespace. Experience with Processwire CMS is a plus.
- Familiarity with site management interfaces such as WHM/cPanel or SiteGround.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js is a plus.
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Experience with CSS preprocessors (e.g., SASS or LESS) and build tools (e.g., Webpack or Gulp).
- Basic knowledge of back-end technologies and RESTful APIs is a plus.
- Experience with Mailchimp or similar campaign messaging tools is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- 2+ years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Xd) is a plus.
