Front End Engineer

About the role

Rune Technologies builds mission-critical software for military logistics and sustainment. The company's flagship product, TyrOS, is an AI-enabled logistics command and control platform that provides real-time visibility into sustainment operations, from inventory and distribution to medical and operational planning.

Qualifications

• Expert in React (preferred) or Angular — one must be primary, not both at a surface level
• TypeScript and JavaScript as primary languages; strong command of HTML
• 7+ years of experience with 75%+ in pure front end roles
• Built significant, non-trivial front-end products — not just maintained existing codebases
• Owns front end architecture decisions, not just implement tickets

Desired Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrating independent, significant front-end work
• Experience with data-intensive front ends and data visualization (D3.js or similar)
• Experience with mapping libraries — Mapbox, MapLibre
• Experience with WebSockets — real-time, high-throughput UI
• Worked at a startup and built something from scratch
