Front End Developer, Mid (JavaScript)
About The Role
This position is a remote role contingent upon contract award and position availability. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise in support of complex technical projects. The role involves performing engineering tasks related to front-end design and development, including creating technical design drawings, mockups, wireframes, and associated documentation for review by project management and stakeholders. The candidate will be tasked with planning and implementing modifications to graphical user interfaces, optimizing system navigation, and enhancing operator usability for user-facing features.
Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance or above (TS/SCI highly preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- A Master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the relevant functional area
- 7 years of software development experience in object-oriented and scripted languages
- Experience with DevSecOps tool suites, microservices, and containers
- At least 3 years of experience with bug tracking software such as Jira
- 3 years of recent experience in front-end web design and development
- 3 years of experience testing web-based applications
- 3 years of participation in software development programs or projects
- 5 years of experience with Jenkins and GitLab
- Proficiency with at least five of the following technologies: Apache, Ember, JavaScript, Jaguar, Java, Cricket, Node
- Demonstrated experience in agile, user-centric application design and UI/UX best practices
- Experience in generating system wireframes and mockups considering multiple user personas
- Experience in system testing, verification, and documentation to ensure compliance with project standards
- Practical experience developing in cloud environments and integrating data across unclassified and classified deployments
Responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expertise and technical guidance for project tasks
- Support process improvements, specialized studies, and requirements definition
- Create technical design drawings, mockups, wireframes, and related documentation for stakeholder review
- Plan and implement modifications to graphical user interfaces to enhance usability
- Optimize system navigation and user interface elements to improve operator experience
- Participate in front-end web development, testing, and deployment activities
- Conduct system testing and verification to ensure functionality and compliance with standards
- Engage in agile development practices, including TDD and CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver secure and user-friendly applications
- Maintain documentation of development processes, test results, and system configurations
- Integrate data across various deployment environments, including classified and unclassified systems
