About the role

The Front-End Developer will aid in web application and digital marketing development, maintenance, and revisions. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills and will work collaboratively with other IT professionals and department stakeholders to identify and implement technology solutions that improve operations and support our strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications and interfaces, including websites and connecting to data sources.
  • Use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to develop responsive web pages.
  • Apply SEO and web accessibility best practices.
  • Aid in the development of back-end software and infrastructure when necessary.
  • Provide training, documentation, and support to end-users on technology systems and applications.
  • Evaluate specifications and requirements against available systems and functionality.
  • Research new technologies and build working prototypes for possible use on future projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma or Equivalent and relevant certification, or
    • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 years of relevant work experience, or
    • Bachelor's degree.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Informatics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
    • Previous experience working in higher education as well as with data and analytical tools.
