Front End Cashier

That Fish Place – That Pet Place, a 50-year-old business dedicated to providing the ultimate pet experience, seeks a Front End Cashier. As a member of their team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for both customers and pets.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly upon entering the store.
• Accurately process payments using cash, credit, or debit cards.
• Assist customers with product inquiries, price discrepancies, returns, and exchanges according to store policy.
• Provide product knowledge and help customers locate merchandise.
• Work collaboratively with the team to deliver exceptional service.
• Bag, box, and wrap purchased items neatly and securely.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service and communication skills with a positive attitude towards people and pets.
• Ability to operate cash registers, calculators, and scanners.
• Strong attention to detail and accountability in transactions.
• Basic math skills for making change and processing refunds.
• Eager to learn about store products, services, and customer needs.
• Team-oriented, dependable, and willing to support others.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Successful completion of on-the-job training provided.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods standing and working at a register.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand movements for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay Range

Full-time positions starting at $13.00 per hour based on experience.
