About the role
The La Jolla Shores Hotel Front Desk Supervisor oversees the Front Desk and assists with various departments to ensure guest satisfaction and maintain exemplary service.
Responsibilities
- Trains and supervises front desk clerks and PBX operators.
- Assists the Reservations and PBX Departments.
- Dispatches daily maintenance calls and work request orders to Engineering.
- Handles inquiries and provides information and directions to guests and members.
- Functions as Manager on Duty when needed.
- Takes Tennis reservations.
- Relieves the switchboard for breaks.
- Writes Incident, Accident and Guest Comment reports.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
- Six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Pay
Hourly Rate: $24.44
Schedule
This company operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Shifts will generally be rotated unless you were hired for a specific shift, as much as possible to be fair to everyone. At times it may be necessary to move you from your accustomed shift if business or task assignments demand. In addition, it should be understood that business needs determine the number of hours that you work.
