About the role
The Source and Recruit Company has been retained to assist in the search for a Front Desk Manager on behalf of the Woodstock Inn & Resort. Nestled in the heart of Woodstock, Vermont, the Woodstock Inn & Resort blends timeless charm with elevated hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support daily Front Desk operations, ensuring a welcoming and efficient guest experience
- Serve as Manager on Duty, providing leadership across the property during assigned shifts
- Respond to guest needs, concerns, and operational challenges with professionalism and sound judgment
- Collaborate closely with Housekeeping, Reservations, and other departments to manage daily flow
- Maintain a visible presence in the lobby and front office areas, especially during peak periods
- Coach and support Front Desk team members to uphold service standards and enhance performance
- Communicate daily priorities, VIP arrivals, group activities, and operational updates effectively
- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and safety protocols
- Maintain deep knowledge of resort offerings, local attractions, and seasonal activities
- Step in as needed to support front-line operations and ensure exceptional service delivery
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hospitality within a hotel or resort environment
- Strong service orientation with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences
- Leadership experience is valued, though emphasis is placed on service excellence over formal supervision
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with property management systems (or ability to quickly learn)
- Knowledge of the local area or willingness to become well-versed in regional attractions
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

- Competitive salary range of $65,000 – $85,000 annually
