Position Summary
Front Desk Hosts are responsible for the guest registration process and communication of hotel services and promotions. This role involves greeting guests, performing check-in and checkout procedures, processing payments, making reservations, and addressing guest needs. Front Desk Hosts have the opportunity to engage with guests and contribute to creating memorable experiences.
Position Responsibilities/ Essential Functions
- Greeting and thanking guests as per Forbes standards.
- Performing all guest check-in and checkout procedures, including obtaining or confirming guest information, assigning rooms, activating and distributing keys, etc.
- Posting charges to appropriate guest accounts and collecting payment for room charges and other fees.
- Making and confirming reservations for guests.
- Answering phones and directing calls to appropriate personnel.
- Anticipating and addressing guests' needs and resolving their problems and complaints.
- Collaborating and communicating with other internal departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Following all established SOPs and using approved Checklists.
- Up-selling guest rooms and promoting World of Hyatt (WOH) and other hotel services.
- Completing various additional tasks and assignments as needed.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Diploma in Hospitality/Tourism Management or a relevant field.
- Good working knowledge of Reserve/Opera software.
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Suite applications.
- Refined verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule; weekends, holidays, overnight shifts.
- Physically agile, able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Well-groomed, professional appearance.
