Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy is hiring a Clinic Support Associate for immediate, long-term employment. This hands-on role involves managing front desk operations and assisting clinicians with patient care, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for every patient. Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors with an upbeat attitude, both in person and over the phone.
- Manage scheduling operations to maximize provider availability and treatment room usage.
- Maintain on-time patient flow by notifying clinicians of patient arrivals and monitoring service delivery.
- Process incoming faxes and perform accurate data entry into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Generate reports, logs, and lists, including financial reconciliations and patient retention tracking.
- Set up new and returning patient cases in Theraoffice, verifying demographic and insurance information.
- Contact treating physicians to obtain updated prescriptions and Plans of Care.
- Assist patients during therapy with heat packs, paraffin dips, pool access, and exercise guidance.
- Educate patients on proper equipment use and exercise techniques.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing equipment, positioning supplies, and following protocols.
- Maintain physical therapy supplies inventory and place orders as needed.
- Perform light cleaning duties, including laundry, treatment table turnover, and garbage disposal.
- Answer calls from physicians, hospitals, and patients with exemplary customer service.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One year of medical office experience preferred; familiarity with EMR systems a plus.
- One year of customer service experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Google Suite required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and adapt to new programs.
- Ability to observe, evaluate, and record patients' conditions and changes.
- Strong record-keeping and report-writing skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.
Pay
The anticipated hourly pay range for this position is $17-$20. Compensation is based on relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
Schedule
Tuesday/Thursday 2pm-9pm, Alternating Saturdays 8am-12pm.
