Front Desk Coordinator
Responsibilities
- Handles financial information and performs insurance verification.
- Prepares end of the day reports to keep patients worry-free.
- Performs clerical tasks like sorting, opening, distributing mail, scanning, and photocopying.
- Answers phone calls and provides information to callers.
- Greet visitors/patients and schedules, verifies, and confirms patient appointments.
- Explains procedures and/or services to patients using dental knowledge.
- Presents financial policies and arrangements to patients and collects co-payments and verifies insurance coverage as appropriate.
- Tracks appointments due to no-shows, cancellations, and late arrivals.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred).
- 1-5 years of customer service, insurance, or dental experience preferred.
- Knowledge of dental software, Microsoft Office programs, and ability to learn new programs as needed.
